The Phosis Editors

Content inside of Phosis is created and edited using either the Body Editor (Articles), the Content Blocks Editor (Article Styles), or you have the option of toggling between the two (Pages). These editors are carefully crafted to give you the most amount of power and flexibility while also working towards Phosis’s design goals of maximum content reusability, and as we continue adding features to Phosis, for ease of use.

The Body Editor can operate as a WYSIWYG text editor or as an HTML-based editor if you toggle into HTML mode. It’s an easy way to begin populating content for your page inside of Phosis, and how you write articles.

Within the Body Editor, you can also open the File Browser with a view of your site’s Files & Media to place images in your content or generate links to files.

Watch out

The WYSIWYG editor plugin used in Phosis has its own fair share of HTML quirks when editing in WYSIWYG mode. We generally recommend cleaning up its generated HTML, and we’re always on the lookout for new editors that generate cleaner code.

The Content Block editor is where Phosis’s design goals as a CMS for HTML design systems come into their own. You can add a content block from your Templates & Containers and then configure the content block’s contents either using a data source (Template) or via direct input (Body/HTML).
